Hi Frances,
I am Raymond's daughter, Linda, your cousin. I've been reading Aunt Juanita's book and searching the internet for other info. The question I am considering is in regard to the brothers John(Reverand I believe)b 1730, Benjamin b 1738, Robert b 1742, Jerimiah b 1744, Larkin b 1746 and Reubin b 1748 (Jaunita's dates).

Her book shows their father is William b 1719 but a number of researchers are showing John (b 1695?) as their father. These brothers are all 6 reported as heros of Kings Mountain Civil War battle by a man on this forum. Everything else I have seen reports Benjamin and Robert as the only two involved with John being a preacher. What do you think about this and what is the lineage you see for us?

I need to also say I have an article from the Owasso, OK paper in 1991 where Aunt Rachel is interviewed regarding her volunteer work at the Baptist retirement center. She says we are direct desendents of General Cleveland of the Civil War. That sounds like we would be grand daughters of Benjamin instead of John (two of the six brothers)

You can contact me directly lindalearn1@yahoo.com

Thanks,
Linda
