Hi, I am a Cleveland through a Coffee. The Battle of King's Mountain was a Revolutionary War Battle 1780. There were four or five Clevelands involved, brothers of Col. Ben Cleveland. General Ben. Cleveland fought in the Civil War 1861-1865 and was the grandson(I think) of one of these brothers. If you put Col. Ben Cleveland in a search engine and Gen. Ben Cleveland in a search engine, you will find the history of these two individuals.

If you put Cleveland brothers Revolutionary war in a search you will find Larkin, Reuben, Robert and Ben. They were not all at the actual battle as one was wounded early in the march and another didn't get there in time, I think, because he lost his horse. Robert was a Captain, and is mentioned in many pension accounts along with his other brothers. Ben is the best known, because of his life before and after the War. He died in 1806, long before the Civil War.
I hope this helps.
