I am a descendant of Rev. John Cleveland b. 1740 in Orange Co. VA on my own side of the family; however, I am now researching families of my husband and have run across an EDWARD CLEVELAND who married SARAH ANN SCRIVNER b. abt. 1830 in MS. They married in Rankin, Mississippi on 25 August 1847. Apparently this family lived in MS until 1851 and were in Louisiana by 1854. They had the following children:
Edward T. Cleveland b. 1848 in MS
Nancy L. Cleveland b. 1851 in MS
James M. Cleveland b. 1854 in LA
George W. Cleveland b. 1856 in LA

I descend from Rev. John Cleveland b. 1840 in VA on my own side of the family. I am now researching families on my husband's side and found the following Cleveland that married into one of his families and I don't have him in my CLEVELAND FILE. If anyone knows of this family, I'd appreciate hearing from you. If I find any more information about this family, I'll post what I find.
