TEXAS CLEVELANDS

I am just starting a Cleveland Family Research Project on my husband's Cleveland line.
We know we tie in, but the trail goes cold when I reach Festus Potius Cleveland. This
is what I do know: Festus Potius Cleveland was born in Masonville, New York. He
married Mary Lyons. They moved to Oak Park (Chicago)Illinois. He was a Methodist
minister and a Chaplain in the Union Army. They had at least one child Josiah Francis
Cleveland, from which my husband is descended. Festus and his wife both died in
Chicago. I have an approximate birthdate of August 12, 1818 and an exact date of
death on June 4, 1900.

If anyone has any information on the Festus Potius or Josiah Francis Cleveland line,
please help me fill in the gaps. I will be glad to help anyone who is looking for
information on the Dallas, Texas end.

My grandfather was Wesley Eugene Cleveland, born in Port Aransas, TX in the 1870' or 80's,
died 1947 in Houston, TX. He was married to Ida Catherine Wallace, born in Mission, TX. and
died in 1938 in Ga,veston, TX. His father was Philemon Cleveland, married to Martha Desmuke.
That is all the info I have on Philemon. Coule he possible be mentioned in any of your material?
