Yes, indeed, Armada does look exciting. The animation is pretty nice to look at from what little I've seen so far. It seems similar to the Car Robots style but with a lot more energy and movement in it.
The voices sound pretty nice too. One thing that kind of bothered me a little about RID is that all the voices were so alike, but with some of our favorite voice talants back on board I think this show will be top notch.
Also, I must agree that Armada looks like a very full-on slugfest. I remember reading somewhere that an episode of Batman had to be edited because a villan named Bane grabbed Robin by the head and such an attack was considered too violent by the studio, so I'm wondering if the studio releasing Armada is a little less strict about such things. Or it's possible they don't think kids see robots as role models to imitate on the playground so there's no risk of a child grabbing the head of a smaller child or family pet. Meh, I know I used to make believe I was a Transformer all the time so that theory doesn't hold much water for me.
Either way, what I've seen of Armada looks very interesting. I'll still miss realistic vehicles, though. I know Hasbro have given their reasons for avoiding real vehicle designs, but I don't think I'm the only one who loved Car Robots/RID solely for the fact that the cars were real cars that can be seen on the streets (okay, I've only seen Wildride & Speedbreaker driving around, but it's something isn't it?)
I think I've ranted and raved enough. Now let's hear some of your opinions. :)
