Dinner: How many people new that there are actually TWO restaurants in Chinatown called "Emperor's Garden"? I didn't... and it looks like most others didn't either, cos the majority of people ended up waiting in front of the Emperor Gardens off Hay Street, instead of the one on Thomas St. Gggrrr... anyway, we eventually found the place, so t'was all good. The feed was very affordable, but not really filling, and there was one piece of Peking Duck that was NOT properly plucked (eewwwww, gross!). Not really a top choice of restaurant IMHO. Taiga ended up making a brief speech at the end of the dinner and also gave each guest an individual hand drawn and painted picture -- he had spent the whole night drawing and painting some twenty pictures to give to guests! Wow!

Karaoke: We ultimately went to Echo Point (or "Ekopo" in colloquial Sydney Japlish) on Pitt St for karaoke -- the place has improved quite a bit since I last went there a few years ago. It's also one of the first Karaoke boxes I've seen that enforces the non-smoking act and forbids any smoking... which is cool, 'cos the place didn't stink like most other Karaoke places do. Still, it turns out that Karaoke World has the D.A.M. system (which is used EVERYWHERE in Japan, but for some reason the technology has been unavailable in Australia), which makes it VERY tempting as the next choice of karaoke venue for any future parties, tee hee. Sang our usual lot of songs -- Chou Denji Robo Combattler V (aka Shogun Warriors), Mazinger Z (aka Tranzor Z) etc., although they didn't have Kagakuninjatai Gatchaman (aka Battle of the Planets), which was disappointing, although that is a rare song to find (I only know of two places in Sydney that have that song -- Karaoke World and JuuJuu).

After Karaoke, we stepped out on the sidewalk for some final farewells as well as group photos. A bunch of drunk guys decided to crash in on our photo shoot and stand in front of the group posing for a shot. Unfortunately for them, I was wielding a fully extended Count Dooku electronic light sabre, which I promptly used to cane one of the drunkards across his spine. ;D
He hobbled away muttering something like, "some guy hit me on the back with a light sabre!"
