My husband is descended from Erik Haagensen, Nils younger brother. Erik's family immigrated to Minnesota together with Nil's family. Our records show their parents as Haagen Simensen Berkset, b. 1783 in Ovre Rendalen, died 1850 in Ovre Rendalen. Their mother was Berit Eriksdatter Haarsetsuen b. 1793. I have no information on Simen, but I have marriage information on Brynhild. She had a child of her own named Haagen Olsen b. 1857. She married Halvor Hansen Snerten who had four children of his own. Erik Haagensen has descendants in Arizona, California, Minnesota, and Texas.
