I kirkeboka (vielsen) står begge oppført med Odals Verk som oppholdssted: Uk. Erich Bergersen [tegnet for (jern)verk] Værk og Pigen Britta Olsdatter ibidem. Kirkeby skriver det samme (bd. 1 s. 268). Dessverre ser det ikke ut til at noen Britta Olsdtr er registrert i Odalen i 1801. Enten "skjuler hun seg" bak en Berit/Berte/Berthe, eller så kom hun vel "utenfra"?
