Opplysninger om Simen Simensen Snare og Sigrid Olsdatter Grasmotukun finnes i 1) Vinger Bygdebok, bind I, side 359 og 2)Eidskog bygdebok, bind III, side 407. Bygdebøkene er ikke primærkilder og kan inneholde feil, men bøkene kan være en god hjelp til å komme videre.
