This story reminds me of when I was a little girl and behaved much in the same way as Laura did. My third grade class went pumpkin picking, and of course, I chose the biggest pumpkin I could find. Unfortunately, it was too heavy for me to carry, and I was told that I was a selfish girl and that I'd have to find a smaller pumpkin. But I was very, very naughty, and I rolled that pumpkin, and I got it home. It was the very first pumpkin I ever got, and I drew a face on it when I got home, and I put a hat and a scarf under it. I was either very selfish, or very determined! I guess it's the eternal lesson of don't bite off more than you can chew. But, oh, I love this story. AND, I have to look it up (as I always do), but I think that NECCO candy has been around for a really long time. It's the New England Candy Company, and they're the ones who make the hearts, but only around Valentine's Day. I'll look it up for all of you. Glad to be back home!!!
