Just thought I'd throw in Charlotte's opinion for good measure: She believes Little Town on the Prairie or on The Shores of Silver Lake are the best actually, as they explain how Laura became such a good and descriptive storyteller having to be Mary's eyes after scarlet fever strikes.

I'd quite enjoy it if you all had a discussion over which is the best book, as it would really bring to light which aspects you treasure most in the series, and also which books encapsulate and capture those aspects most accurately.

My comments of course will be limited to the little that I've read, but it will be fun reading your perspectives!
