Maybe he's actually a genius!

English spelling is nonsense, so maybe his mind naturally rejects it every time theres a contradiction.

Do you know they don't even teach spelling as a subject in school in many european countries? Italian, Bosnian and some others are over 80% phonetic, so most kids learn it on their own just from watching TV before they get to school! Even German, which is full of rules and exceptions, isn't taught. As complicated as it is, its still like a miracle of precision compared to English!

I would like to send you a Nooalf Super Mini Chart. Your son can learn a 100% phonetic English based international spelling system with it in a month or less. It has hundreds of words spelled in Nooalf with regular english translations to help him make the transition. He could become a spelling bee champ.
