I have a wonderful grandson that has been diagnosed with dyslexia and a multi-sensory language disorder. Before we could get him help at school, he had to be tested by professionals and officially diagnosed. This is not considered in our school system (Louisiana) to be a special education need. He is in an IEP 504 program where he is given additional help. I strongly suggest that you research what your childs rights are under your state law. If you have questions, call the Special Education Department associated with you area. I wish you the best of luck in your search.
