Sounds exactly like my eight year old son. We just had him tested at a place we found thru the International Dyslexia Associations. They said he was. I immediately started researching. Overcoming Dysleixa by Sally Shaywitz is a book based on years of research. My sons teacher never mentioned dyslexia. Come to find out from the principal they had another child years before that went thru the exact same thing. Vision therapy (total garbage, even the optometry society states there is no evidence it helps dyslexia yet they certainly charge for it). It doesn't hurt to check. I am shocked at how ill equipped the educational system in my state is to inform the teachers or even look for signs.
