He saw Trish wasn't afraid of the guy, even though he was a bit larger than her. Terry had a sense that she had something up her sleeve if a fight broke out, but he wasn't sure what. "Here's your soup sir." the cook said as he passed Terry a steaming bowl. "Thanks." Terry said as he took the soup and started to eat, keeping an eye out for anything that might start happening.
