Subject: A Valentines Story

A couple of weeks ago, I purchased a map of a local lake that gave depth ranges, best fishing spots not to mention its overall layout. Since I haven't fished this lake before, the information meant alot.

Well for Valentines day, Sandy gave me a hat with a blue marlin stitched on the front of it. Another hat with wide brims to prevent sunburn, a card with expressions of love:), and.....the same lake map!

Since there was no advantage for two maps, I exchanged the one I bought for another lake that is fairly close to Aiken.
When I told the owner my predicament due to wifes consideration for my favorite hobby, I got what amounts to a male version of "ah, that was so sweet. I wish my wife could be that thoughtful". The customers in earshot were equally impressed.

But the icing on the cake was the fact that Sandy was right behind me when I did all this. Judging by the envious looks by my fellow fishermen, I felt it would be wise to make the exchange and get her out of there. A wife that appreciates a husbands hobby is a rare commodity and I figured things could get violent if we stayed to long:)

In all sincerity, this was definately the best valentine gift I had ever recieved.....and of course, Sandy, I do Love you!
