Subject: Disappointed with myself

I guess I am going to have to find a fishing enthusiast to go fishing with me. Used to be able to go by myself, at any time of the day or night regardless of the weather. But am finding it harder to be so dedicated now.

I didn't go yesterday due to rain. But I could have gone and picked up a rain suit. Its not that big a deal. Being exposed to the elements is part of what relating to nature is all about. Not just the peaceful visuals. Thunder on a flat Texas plain that reaches from one horizon to the other at night. Makes the hair on your head stand up! And the cool fresh wind loaded with ozone just before a storm rolls in. The feeling of being totally alone since noone is crazy enough to be out there with you and you enjoy this solitude. Not to mention finding that you have knowledge of whats going on and have some power over it.......fishing is what I have in mind here.

Life is a whole lot more interesting to me when I step beyond my comfort zone. But alas, today I am popping some videos in the vcr and vegging out on the couch....what an adventurer:(
