Well I can identify with you on several of those problems. Until July of last year, I lived in NC and Scott worked in SC and that was difficult.

And as for ex-husbands...well I'm sure you'll remember that mine has been the ex from hell for the majority of the time since we divorced. He's taken me to court more times than I care to remember, not that it ever got him anywhere but it sure managed to cause a lot of stress for his son and for me. He's played all sorts of mind games and for the longest time I was convinced that his goal was to drive absolutely nuts!! He's been quiet lately and I hope to God that's a good sign. I mean Matthew is nearly 14, there really isn't any point in all this court stuff when you have a son getting ready to go into high school. Hopefully we can continue to just be there for Matt and stop the fighting.

Family problems are the pits too. There are some problems in my family too. Nothing as severe as what you are dealing with with your brothers but there always seems to be something, doesn't there?

Taking in your 16 year old niece was brave of you. I'm sure that's been difficult. I love my nephew and my nieces but I'm glad their parents take care of them, because it would be hard to take on more children, especially a teenager. I'm just starting to face the teen years with Matthew. So far it hasn't been bad but I'm sure we're going to have rough spots before he's grown. They say the teen years are the hardest when you are raising a child, so we'll see.

Take care and I really hope it gets better.

Sandy
