Subject: Let me sleep 1000 years....only I can't sleep.

Hi,
I have been having a rough time like some of the rest of you. I "fired" my therapist yesterday. I spent a very anxious weekend and was tired of therapy not working. Not only is it not working, but it makes me feel like I am not "trying" hard enough. When I talked to Dr. G., he asked if these feelings of wanting to stop therapy were related to the subject matter of our last meeting (egotistical bastard!), and that he was concerned that I was stopping when I had had bouts of anxiety last weekend. BOUTS OF ANXIETY? Lets try DECADES I told him. He is a very nice guy, but I don't think he acknowledges the biological componet of depression. I think he wants to "cure" me. So, I put in a call to my meds doc, and hopefully I can start on another treatment along with the Zoloft that I am on now.A "Mood stabilizer" is probably the next step. A whole new range of side effects, I am sure.

Thank goodness for my animals. Soothing and uncomplicated. Why could'nt I have been born a cat?
