My sister was majorly depressed when she turned forty. Heck she cried when she turned 30. My mom never wants anyone to know her age, she's really sensitive about it. They both said to wait until I turned forty and I'd be sensitive about it too. But I'm not. I mean, I don't mind who knows my age and it doesn't bother me...at least not in the sense they thought. I certainly don't see forty as old, but it has made me think and it's bothered me only because, like you, I think about dumb things I've done, time I've wasted on relationships that weren't right in the first place, what I've accomplished and what I haven't. And the biggest problem I have with it is realizing how fast that 40 years went by and hoping the next doesn't go that fast...but I know it will. It seems like each year goes faster and faster. That's the only thing that really bothers me...when I think about my life being half over...so I try not to think about that.. Do my Scarlett O'hara routine; "I'll think about that tomorrow" :)

Take care,
Sandy
