Subject: Mom has made her transition

I've been in Jupiter, Fl since last Wednesday. Mom had a stroke last Monday eve and was in the hospital. She lost her speech and was unable to swallow.
I have spent much of my time since arriving at my sister's house at the hospital with Mom. I was even allowed to sleep in her room. Last night her sister and I were going to sleep there and decided to leave at 1 a.m. because i was emotionally drained at that point. I knew she was so close to passing on and I had been gently giving her permission and guiding her through her final process. While it was one of the most incredible, spiritual experiences i have ever had, it was extremely draining and exhausting. I finally decided to ask the nurse how long she thought mom could hold on and she said it could be an hour or it could be a few days.
I left with her sister at 1 a.m. and we got a call at 2 a.m. that Mom had, in deed, made her transition. Interesting, that she waited for us to be gone, even in face of all the loving permission and guidance she was given by both myself and her sister. I guess it was just too difficult for her to leave in our presence.
Today, my sister and I made all the arrangements necessary for my Mom.
We are at peace.
with love and light,
Solie
