Subject: Home from the Beach

What a nice day, it was beautiful outside and the drive wasn't bad at all with Sandy and Scott to talk to and music to listen to.
I loved the town Edisto where this beach was, quiet, peaceful, just enough tourism to give it a people feel, but this time of year, very light in traffic, it was interesting going from the pine trees and other tall ones to the palm trees lining the streets like Florida.
The beachfront homes were beautiful (and expensive)and the ocean was awesome, I think I was so ready for that peace that I wasn't excited as I thought I would be, I just went right down to the water, the sound of the ocean, the birds flying overhead, walking along collecting shells talking with Sandy and Scott, it was almost surreal, like wow, I'm really doing this.
My favorite sight was a beach front home that had seagulls flying around it in circles, they'd land on the roof and line the walkway to the beach and the family who lived there were taking pictures, waving at the birds, and could almost touch them. The birds would all fly up in a circle, flying right over me, then circle back to the house every time the breeze blew.
I took pictures and hope they come out ok.
God, it would be so wonderful to have that peace of mind all the time. But to atleast experience it was something to really appreciate.
Thanks for letting me share (and thanks Sandy and Scott for taking me there).
Peace to you all,
Bill
P.S. Ok, so I about ran down the beach when I saw this cool looking colored pale shell and Sandy told me it was a jellyfish, dead or not, I've heard stories about them (shiver). Sandy had to tell me it wouldn't get me (I'm such a wuss sometimes). :))
