And I know that I'm guilt of the same thing. I think that with all the letdowns in life and all the crap I've been through, I tend to make a lot less effort in maintaining friendships than I used to. I don't like that about myself, but I think some of it has to do with self-preservation...if I don't let people too close, they can't hurt me....

And too...sometimes I just can't deal with anything at all and I tend to just retreat to my little cave and lock the world out. Sometimes I've just had all I can take and I don't want to deal with people.

Other times, I really want to be around people...I guess it just depends on my mood at the time.

I understand what you're saying though.
