Subject: Does anyone else do this?

I stay up too late at night and then I'm exhausted in the morning. Why? Ever since I was a small child, I've always needed some time alone everyday to think, wind down, just have peace and quiet. With a talkative son and one that likes to make noises even when he isn't talking there isn't a lot of quiet time to be found. After work, there's always lots going on when all of us get home, eat supper and take care of the things we need to do. Scott goes to bed earlier than Matt. Matthew goes around 10:00 or as soon after 10 as I can get him headed there. After that..I just like to rest on the sofa, maybe crochet or read, watch a little TV. Usually Toupe' is curled up on the back of the couch right above my head. Sometimes Pepper is sleeping at my feet and sometimes she's in the chair next to the couch. The phone doesn't ring, no traffic outside..everything's quiet and peaceful. This is why I'm a night owl and always have been. That's the one time everything is quiet and I can unwind and have my quiet time..time when I don't have to talk...I don't have to listen...I can just be. Unfortunately, I like it so much that last night I was up until 1:30 am. The alarm clock goes off at 6:30 am. I used to be able to make it ok on 5 hours sleep...but I guess I'm getting old. After a night or two of that, I'm exhausted.

So...I guess I'll go to bed now and get a little more sleep.

Have a good Tuesday.
Love,
Sandy
