Hey there,
I don't know a whole lot about lithium. I've heard some bad experiences. I know this woman who took it for a short time and it made her hear voices. She still heard them after not taking it. So, now she's on an anti-psychotic. I was going to take it but my one doc was too incompitant (sp?) to check my blood often. So, I didn't go on it. As far as the voices go, I don't know if that happens often. Or if even she would have heard them even without the Lithium. But that's all I know.
