Subject: Concerned

Hi!

It looks like I’m going to be an aunt very soon. I’m finding it difficult to be excited about that today. My sister has asked our mom to come and stay with her for a while. I can’t imagine what my sister is thinking. I’m very concerned for this new baby’s well being. I’ve been trying to look at the positive side of this situation. Perhaps, my sister will grow up and be a good mom. My sister’s husband seems to be a nice guy so hopefully he’ll be a good father. Also, our mom will be over 400 miles away from this child. I spoke with our mom on the phone earlier today. She was in one of her “nuts” moods today. I kept thinking why would my sister invite mom to be near her child. I know that there is no way for me to protect this child from the potential dangers in his life. I will enjoy him and treat him well and that’s the best that I can do for him. However, today, I’m filled with concern for him. Thanks for listening.
