Bill,

I have always been lucky with career and money. It does not make happiness. In fact I have considered losing all my belongings and going light my self. It would give me the opportunity to make a new me, and maybe that's what your subconscious is telling you also. Leave everything behind, and make a new person just the way you like. I wish I had the courage to do that.
A friend of mine did just that, she sold everything, bought an old Toyota pickup and lived in Yosemite for three years as a volunteer search and rescue. She lived in a tent had a bicycle to get around. She was able to get very in touch with her self. Now she is working in a suit somewhere.
