Neither do I think Catherine Bell is bad.
I liked Tracy Needham a lot and it took a while before I could accept the character of Mac in the show because it was a lot different.
But JAG still has a lot of awsome storylines and I grew to like Sarah Mackenzie altough also I would like to see the character of Meg in the show again! The two of them in the same show, now that would be interesting!
