The idea sounds quite interesting and it might really work for items/regs. But i doubt that you will really get money in there.
I'm only talking for me but as long as i play wow now i never thought: Oh well what to do with all my money? Let's just give it away. Sure i never got more then 200g and still got a lot of stuff to get. I'll always lend money to guildies if they ask for it but i won't put it in some bank just in case that someone might need it anytime...
But well let's try it.
