Her delicate body shakes, even after the departure of the girl and her black steed. She slowly lowers her sleek neck, lathered with sweat, and blows out softly. Her eyes still show their whites, and her muscles are tense and ready to bolt. The fire dies out in her orbs' black depths, and drifting strands of tail dance in the wind as if they were brought to life by her fury and panic. She approaches Kryp at a slow walk and stands near him for comfort. For the first time she is glad of a stallion's presence for protection and reassurance. Estrella gazes up at her dam and Banat whickers, allowing her to go and find her friends again. The mare's breathing slows, and she stands with her dial lowered, letting the hot sun carress her back.
