Subject: Ah, lovely bed

I hope he treats you well.
This man in my bed, that your parents bought for us, that we’ve weaved and threaded round banisters, stored in barns, slept and loved and laughed on. And talked.
A ‘Sleepeezee Posturepaedic” if I remember right. The plywood cheap habitat copy
furniture with the home-made, Dennis-dyed brown covers, the orange baseless
lampshade that stood on the cunningly fitting white painted flush level hardboard topped corner table cast its glow over a man in a gilt helmet, framed by nailed on
floorboards which ran onto a series of planks drilled and pierced with white painted broom handles. A Dracaena plant squirms and twists its way towards a dusty
cheese plant death. Leo and Trouble lay on the dark brown carpet, reluctant victims of underlay dancing. Trouble died in the back bedroom, next to the bedroom with the
purple carpet and those tacky white Timberland sliding doors where she used to sleep and leave clumps of russet shiny hair on the twisting purple pile of the carpet upon which rested the bed with the padded headrest bought by my parents for our anniversary and which you always loathed.
That bed I mean...I hope he treats you well.
