Hey Maryann... just thought I'd chime in, and agree with you that Maddux, well..looks like Maddux, lol. No early season beatings like he took last year... ho-hum, another CY maybe if it wasn't for the Big Rat, errr Unit. If I was the other team though, I'd be more afraid of Glavine, he looks untouchable, and it'll be interesting to see how the Dodger$ look against him, considering they've been scoring 15 runs a game on the Reds, lol. BTW, Kevin Brown is already returning from the broken pinkie? I didn't know that. Overall the Braves starting pitching is still tops, and it seems Mulholland is settling in and will be a good #4 guy after a rough start. All I have to say about John Burkett is: When does Bruce Chen return to the rotation? lol. I'm really impressed with Furcal, I thought he'd be overwhelmed as a 19 year old, but he has such a good eye and knowledge of the strike zone, he's certainly exceeding expectations with a .424 OBP. The ex-Padres??? Veras is coming around, he too has a great eye... Reggie Sanders, I think the pressure of being an Atlanta Brave is too much for him, he's poor under pressure, and there was none in SD last year.... Wally Joyner, one of my faves, he's already getting some clutch hits for y'all, he's such a professional. Nothing beats the Galaragga story though, huh? geez, #7 today... he'll get one extra home game this year, as an All-Star.
Ok, that's enough of my long-winded response.... must have been bored, sorry. And no, I haven't converted to a Braves fan yet, lol.... See ya soon

GO PADRES!
