Subject: Sports Travel and Tours RIP OFF!

My wife and I just went on the Sports Travel and Tours "The Classic" tour, June 23-27, and paid $600 extra for two upgraded tickets to the game at Yankee Stadium ($55 face value each ticket). The Yankee Stadium game was rained out on Friday 6/25, and we asked our tour guide the next morning about getting our money back. All he could tell was to ask the Sports Travel and Tours office when we got back and they put us on the bus to Cooperstown and Boston. The rained out Yankee game was replayed on Sunday 6/27 while we were still on the tour in Fenway park. When we got back home we were told by Teresa of Sports Travel and Tours that our money would not be refunded for the upgraded tickets. We pleaded our case on the phone to Teresa that we were never given a chance on the tour to get our money back before the game was re-played, but all we were offered is a $300 credit towards another trip, they would not give us any refund. All this is true, call Sports Travel and Tours (1-800-662-4424) and ask Teresa or the owner about Steve and Andrea Thayer and what happened on the Classic Tour this year 2004. My wife and I are very upset about and they know it and they don't care. Believe me, my wife and I have been and will be talking to a lot of people about Sports Travel and Tours and what an awful operation they run.
