Guess what, for real, today this horse at the stable I ride at was colicing. I mean I have never seen a horse colic before. I know this may sound lame but it was amazing. I got to help out with everything. I haven't been riding that long. Her name is Sasha a black Saddlebred/Arab mare about 19yrs old. I also checked her breathing rate it was 36. It was not normal. I mostly just walked her alot. I watched the vet as her checked her tempature, and checked her out. Her intestine has been moving her splene. Then the Doc shoved a pipe up her nose and I held her head. He put some fluids through the tube and flushed out some food particles. She looked so sad. She almost tried to lay down while I was walking her. I know this may sound lame, but can anybody relate to this? If so can you give me the details? Please! Don't think I don't know alot about horses though cuz I do. Maybe not just as much as you. I only got into horses about a year ago.And Allison, about Sugar do you think we could go over some day and groom her or something. Probably after school!! Not Wed. or Thurs. though. Please answer Allison, and everybody else!!
