She nods earnestly. "Oh, yes! 10 shillings would be wonderful. You see, at our old home Father brought home little more than four shillings a day..." she trailed off, looks away, blushing. Searching for another subject, she looks at the girls. Tess was just waking up. She yawned and stretched her arms as Norah set her down on her feet. Then, her eyes opened and she saw Ariana. Her dark eyes get bigger and she goes slightly behind her older sister, peeking out shyly.
