A young maiden, 14 years of age, walks silently into the square, small feet making footprints in the blanket of white snow covering the cobblestones. She wears a thin dress much too small that outlines her slender body. Her figure is so thin, you can almost count her ribs sticking out, for she has not eaten a good meal for many a month. Her feet are nearly bare except of a thin boot on each foot. Her long carmel colored hair waves about in a cloud behind her head. She stops for a moment, looking about the square, then heads on...
