He gracefully leaps up and lands on the lower fountain, then sits down, balanced on the edge. "I haven't seen you before," he says cheerfully. The other was seemingly non-threatening, but Briar was used to having people turn nasty on him, all in the blink on an eye. Even so he checked his wrist knives. "There ain't many boys 'round here, so it gets lonely. Not that the girls are bad, once you know him." He pauses, as if thinking something over. "My names Briar; theif, pickpocket, lock picker, and animal handler. You?"

((OCC-Ok, you probably got this but when I listed theif, pickpocket, etc. those weren't his names. It's like when someone says, "I'm James, carriage driver at your service." 'Cept Briar didn't say at your service. But anyways.))
