It's been far too long...they've been stuck there too long...how is he staying alive? I...dammit, how did this happen?!?

Had Perceptor had the ability to sweat, he most certainly would have been doing just that. Four minutes had passed since the transporter had lost track of Batbot's lifesigns, and for four minutes, the computer had been trying to bring Azdak back. But it was almost like he was fading in and out of existence. It would have him one second, and the next, it was like there was nothing there.

He feared the worst. Yet he was bound and determined to bring back at least one of them. He was so lost in thought, he nearly didn't hear the confirming beep from the transporter. He stopped, his optics wide. Again, it beeped a confirmation.

I have him! I have a lock! Orbital, he's coming back!

Perceptor and Orbital rose and approached the medical table that Batbot himself had once lain in when afflicted with the Legacy Virus. Now, however, Azdak, Chief Justiciar, laid there. He was unconcious, but very much alive. Perceptor felt a great weight lift from his shoulders.

Only to come to a sudden realization. He looked at Orbital.

Perceptor...Batbot...he...

Perceptor shook his head. No, Orbital. I fear...I fear Batbot is not coming back this time.

He is lost to us.
