yeah i have to agree with elsen on this one... the concert was pretty beat... short and not too many of the oldies but goodies. i've seen 'em like eight or nine times, and this was by far the worst... but anyway, i think this summer will be good... he always puts on a good show in hartford.
WARNING: RANT AHEAD
i like most of his music, but lately i have to say that i don't agree with how much he has made his band into such a "product." You can buy steffan lessard's fucking signature series SNOWBOARD on the website for cripes sake. That type of shit makes me wanna gag. The band, dave in particular, has gone way too teenie bopper (er commercial, exploitive, you chose the adjective) for my liking, and I don't mean because of the fans... Is it possible that dave could write a song about something other than time passing or carpe diem? I'm beginning to think not. What makes a band good, in my opinion, is when they continually search for new ways to express themselves (aka they are CREATIVE, which dave was once in his life). Dave has stumbled upon a formula, and it obviously works, but i feel like he's just taking advantage of us (who have supported him for years), and he's starting to lose support. Better pull himself out of it before he loses more fans. enuff ranting. that's my opinion, tell me what YOU think. i'm out. peace&love tom
