Here is the recap of the top 5: Recap: Two young ladies were crowned this afternoon. Jennifer Scarlett is the new Miss Pierce County and will go on to compete for Miss Washington pageant this summer (and then perhaps Miss America!). Erika Freeman was crowned Miss Greater Tacoma and will compete for Miss Seafair this summer in the Seafair program. TOP 5 LISTING: WINNER 2002 Miss Pierce County: Jennifer Scarlett (20 yr old) college sophomore -- She also won the "Physical Fitness in Swimsuit" Award. 1st Runner up: Kim Walling (23 yr old). She won the Spirit Award and also Miss Congeniality award. 2nd Runner up: Juliet Lee (18 yr old) 3rd Runner up: Erika Freeman (18 yr old) -- She also won Miss Greater Tacoma for Seafair & will compete in the Seafair program this summer) 4th Runner up: Melanie Maynes (18 yrs) Directors award went to the highly entertaining trombone player, Claire Davis.
