I just got this email for those of you that can attend:
Hello everyone,

There will be another protest held in Lanett, AL in front of the City Hall building at 401 N. Lanier St. at 5:30 p.m. (EST) on April 18, 2005. We need your support! Please come if there is anyway humanly possible that you can make it. The last protest we did not have as large a crowd as I had hoped for and we only had 3 people from outside of the Lanett- Columbus area. (Thanks Michael, Joan & Chris, we appreciate your support!) Where are all the American Pit Bull Terrier owners? If those of you who own these wonderful animals sit idly by because it doesn't affect you right now, it will be at your doorstep before you know it. If we don't get these types of ordinances removed then they will only set a precedent for every other town to put them into effect. We need to make a statement to the mayor and the city council that we DO care about this issue and that we are united and will not stand by and let them take our pets! We have to show up in force. For those of you in the Columbus - Phenix City area we will be meeting at the Williams Road Welcome Center at 4:30 (EST) and then proceed to Lanett.
