Hello!
We are concerned that our cherished breed of dog will no longer be
safe in the Province of Ontario, Canada.

You are receiving this letter, as we are starting a grassroots
campaign to peacefully protest the Province of Ontario's recent
passing of their Breed Specific Legislation.

We would like to make an impact on the Province of Ontario with a
financial boycott.

Sunday, August 28th is the day before the Ontario BSL comes into
effect.

On this date:

We are advocating that people who own and/or love pets DO NOT spend
any money in Ontario for one day.

People joining our protest won't spend any money in restaurants,
movie theaters, stores or malls. They won't buy gas or spend the day
at the Casinos. They'll take their lunch to wherever they go that
day.

They won't plan for this day by spending anything extra the day
before or the day after. We don't want to offset our impact.

Then, they will take their dogs for a walk, rain or shine.
Government buildings would be a good place to walk. Just remember to
be responsible and clean up after your dog.

Also, consider these two points:

1) Do not feed your dogs commercial dog food or biscuits for one
week, August 28th thru September 3rd. This will quantify into a HUGE
statement to the commercial pet food industry; we expect their
support in ANTI-BSL efforts. Simple, homemade dog food recipes are
available on the Internet.

2) Do not shop at large, chain pet stores that week. They also need
to know that we expect those companies to actively work against BSL.

Everyone is entitled to be kept safe from dangerous dogs and their
negligent owners. We advocate enforcing dangerous dog laws that are
already on the books.

We can make a BIG impact with our money and we can make a BIG impact
on Election Day.

If this boycott works, it will be heard around the world.

We can also agree to do this on the 28th of every month until they
realize that it is the deed that needs to be punished, not the breed.

Please cross post this to everyone you know who loves dogs.
Also, send it to every organization concerned with BSL .

This is not just a problem in Ontario, it has the potential to show
up anywhere in the world. Our dogs are not safe until governments
realize that the solution is enforcing laws against dangerous dogs
and their negligent owners.

You can print the statement below and put it in your car window, or
anyplace else for that matter.

BSL is BS
Punish the deed, not the breed!
