I thought it was time I shared with you some news on my adventures away from Darkstone.

I have been travelling in the lands of Dereth in Asheron's Call 2 & my! what sights I have seen !

I was persuaded to try out AC2 & despite my doubts about starting over in a new game, I have to admit I am enjoying it immensely.

It's been a steep learning curve for an old stick in the mud like me
(I haven't ventured out of Sosaria in 4 years! apart from a brief stint in SWG beta)

AC2 is an amazing game to play. I stop & marvel at the ever changing sky. I watch my char (archer) do her stuff & the animation is quite awesome. We delve into a dungeon & it really feels like a dark & spooky dungeon. I find the gameplay is very immersive & as our chars get stronger we rock, more than roll. I would guess I have done about 20 different quests now & theres tons more to do.

But just quietly, *leans in closer & whispers* I would never have survived/completed these quests if it weren't for friends. Ch'Tak, Lone & Trent are there too & together we are an awesome foursome!
We are in a large Guild/Allegiance called OoO <--- very appropriate huh?

AC2 isn't UO, but I got to tell you its worth taking a peek at. I haven't dabbled much in the crafting side, but I hear its good stuff.

Anyway, we will be back some day. Whether it's soon *shrugs*, but we will be back. Trent & I still have our original accounts open. *leaves the UO door ajar*

If you want to take a look at AC2, you can download the game & try it for 15 days free.

& this week Turbine launched a special offer.
Download the game & buy a key for US$12 & you get a month of free gametime. (saves $60+ by not buying a boxed game)

But if you are downloading, beware the file is pretty hefty.

Click here for free trial & code offers.

If you decide to give AC2 a whirl, send me an icq & we will come & help you along your way.

Some pics to whet your your appetite...
