In the past, we have run events at peak and off-peak hours, but those are usually only on a handfull of shards.
This event is being run on every shard, and in an attempt to allow the maximum number of players the opportunity to participate the event is being run during each shard's "prime time," when the most players are logged in. We have to temper that by not giving much warning on which shard and when, but the net result is that far more people will have an opportunity to participate on each shard than if we ran the event during off-peak hours...
And we are doing some of them on the weekend. So far, only 3 shards have had the event.
I apologize to those who do not get a chance to participate this go round, but there will be more opportunities in the future.
