Note: This Update Center document has been updated July 2, 2003.

As part of our goal to continually make UO more fun to play, we’re turning some of our attention to all those bits of flora and other items that block player movement and make it difficult to run. We are not planning to change the art for these items, but we are looking to make them no longer block movement. And yes, this will also mean that these items will no longer block house placement either, which could result in more housing spots across all shards!

Since some items in the game world are built differently than others, not all items will be able to be done at the same time. The first group is currently scheduled as part of Publish 19, while the second group will take place in a future publish.

Part of this change was included in client patch 4.0.0o, which was released on June 30th, which means that until Publish 19 is implemented, you may experience some “rubber banding” when trying to walk through these objects.
