Fellow Defenders…..

It is with tears in my eyes & a deep sadness in my heart, that I write to tell you of the departure of a friend who was special to many of us.

I refer to…Astro, Vain Centuri, Via Lynx, Johanna La’straz & Xer-Yus.
Vain Centuri was our much revered “Darkstone Warlord”.

Due to his need to attend to real life commitments, he has had to leave our realm.

Astro (as I always called him) was one of the kindest people a person could ever have the pleasure to meet in these lands. His generosity was legendary. Many people will have been a benefactor of his kindness at one time or another. He was always the “first” to help someone in need and many ‘young’ folk were chaperoned by this honourable warrior as they tentatively took their first steps in this big world. He was generous not only with his time but also his worldly possessions.

Darkstone held a special place in Astro’s heart. He loved the community & the people. He lived for a great deal of time close by to the Tavern in a Villa, despite the fact that he had a Large Tower, which in turn, was loaned out to a friend. Such was his need to be close to his friends.

Able & I were at my home today when Astro appeared. He then spent an hour or more delivering many of his worldly treasures & depositing them on my floor. I have put all the goods he left at my house, along with the incredibly large donation of gp’s, into storage until Ka Nulls return, or perhaps Astro’s (tho he assures me this wont happen). He says he will give the account to a friend. I can only hope that the next man to walk in Astro’s shoes is a person of honour like the man himself was.

Astro told of how he had ‘made some guys day!’…He had sold his Large Tower to him for an unimaginable price. He had also spent time at WBB handing out cheques & treasures to many fortunate travellers. This was typical Astro & I imagine he enjoyed every minute of his generosity spree, as he always enjoyed making people happy. Many people will remember you fondly Astro !!!

Good-bye my dear friend Astro.
Be safe till we meet again *hugs*

& in Ka’s absence, I salute you on his behalf *salutes*

I will leave you with this Farewell message from Astro……
