From uo.com forums......

While attending a UO Player Lunch at the Scarborough Faire (south of Dallas, Texas), I had the opportunity to ask the OSI reps about these mini quests. I had heard through the grapevine that events similar to the one we experienced with Vasul had occurred on Baja and Catskills over the last week. Here is the scoop:

These events are actually being run by SUPPORT GM's (not the old IGM's... the IGMs have all been re-assigned to the ongoing content team.) These "mini-quests" are designed and written to last approx. 2 hours and are intended to be completely independent of the "scenarios". In fact, if they will not run these quests in cities affected by the ongoing content scenarios (ie: Yew, Trinsic, Papua).

This is something completely new and different for the support GM's (the guys and gals in red answering our calls for help). Right now they are only doing one event per day (on a single, randomly selected shard).... These events will be contingent on their staffing levels and help call queue volume. There will be no prior announcements or scheduling of the events... They are completely random. The Town Criers will provide news on the shard as each event begins.

If these short quests are something that you enjoy, I would recommend that you provide a lot of positive reinforcement to OSI. The GM's are hopeful that this will be a long and successful program. They are having as much fun running the quests as we have had participating in them.
