I can vouch for the fact that it seems purely random & that +5 scrolls can appear in your pack at anytime during the spawn process.

As you know, I am a wee bit of a trammie *shines her carebear badge*, & I have only been to 2 champ spawms, one in Fire & one today in Destard.

At Fire, I died quickly by getting boxed in by the critters *shows her trammieness*.

But today in Destard, I arrived & 5 candles were on the alter. I barded everything in sight & threw in a few spells for good measure. About 10 minutes after I arrived, I was stunned to see a pristine, white, +5 music scroll in my pack. I party messaged Ruthian (who had been at the spawn for an hour or so before I arrived) & told him about the scroll. He hadn't recieved one. Ruthian escorted me to bank it & we re-regged & returned.

Not long after we got back, I had a sound loop crash & predictably logged in dead in Brit.

Ruthian stayed to slay the Champ & recieved a +10 med scroll for his efforts.

I have since heard that random +5 scrolls can occur at anytime during the spawn, as was the case with me.

Oh & as an added bonus, I got a prov gain :)
