Great thread Vain, with some great info and good tips.
I only really pvp with Lockie, and I do quite well...mages seem to dominate PvP atm but Ill let you know Lockies temp if anyone is thinking of fencing and why I have it the way it is.
GM Fence (all the reasons Vain said)
GM Tactics ( once again Vain explained)
GM Heal ( a must)
GM Anatomy (once again explained)
GM Resist ( cant pvp much without it..ever tried to kill Chtak with his gm resist...tough)
GM Hide ( Hiding is frowned upon by alot of PvPers but Im all for it...if its respect you want from the 12yr old l33t dOOds then dont take hiding, but I have it on all my pvpers and only try to use it when im outnumbered, after all hiding from 4 on 1 is smarter then dying to it.)
79.9 Magery(or GM) general concensus is you cant PvP well without GM magery no matter what your temp..and all the great pvpers I know have it. Lockie has 79.9 only and can get good value out of a Gheal spell and can gate etc...Without a decent amount of magery you are going to die to most mages...you need it to heal after the mana dump then you have full health and they have low mana..mage killing go on.
20.1 Tracking ( dont think they fixed this with Pub 16...works like gm Track and allows you to locate those Hiders...like me!!

So thats my temp...I have all those but the gm resist...its at 90 and climbing.
Reason I dont have parry???
Against Macers *shudders* and other warriors its great, I used to have Gm parry , but after PvPing for a while I realised that 90% of PvPers are mages of one variety or another...and Parry does nothing to reduce spell damage, so I dropped it and took hide. I use a dp kryss and carry 10 Gcures and 15Gheals...and refresh potions are a must!!!! After the DP kicks in I normally go to my Tribal spear and finish them off...be aware that due to the use of GCure pots using DP weaps on anyone but a shield carrier is practically useless...and fighting a mage while using a shield will see you disarming constantly to cure the poison they cast.
Anyways sorry about the rant but with Vains info I hope it helps wannabe PvPers give it ago...cause its so fun.

Oh one more thing...with PvP mages and Pub 16, GM Anat and Eval together effectively do the job of GM wrestle...so a good mage temp now is:
GM Magery
GM EVal
GM Med
GM Anat
GM Heal
GM Resist
and one other...either inscript or poison or something else.
Heal Mages are near impossible to kill...they heal 45 or so with bands and the same with spells and pots...grrr I hate them.

And Lockies Stats are 85 Str(90hp) 45 Int 95 Dex...sometimes MB gives him a hard time but not really.
