No apologies are neccesary :-)

I agree with you to some extent, there is more excitement when the new album comes out, but to me, Im not looking for excitement in albums, I'm going to enjoy the songs when they come out. Yes there is something very special about purchasing an entire album that you've never heard before. Especially when it's U2. Now you have to remember that if it were any other band or singer that you were going to buy a CD of, you would probably hear a song from that album on the radio or on the internet, and thats how you knew you wanted the album in the first place. Because you heard some of the music from it. And your hoping that the rest of the songs on the album are good also.

And that's cool with me, I'd probably do the same, but I don't really care for waiting for the full excitement at once.

But on the other side:

I think the whole idea of patriotism with holding out for the album is foolish. You have people going around thinking themselves as more patriotic fans because they'll support some revolution of holding out and waiting for the full album, opposing the downloading or presenting of mp3s from the album. Personally, the song is the same song on the album, I'm going to give U2 and their record company my money, and I feel that I don't need to prove my respect to them by not making avaliable the mp3s of the song. Alot of others find it their duty, to be respectful to the band, by going with their wishes to not make the mp3 avaliable, hey whatever floats their boat, but I've given U2 plenty of respect, and they'd probably say I was overdoing it on respect.

And the fever gettin higher, desire......
for the love or money?
